He's back! Brad "Tiki Shark" Parker Returns to Hollywood at La Luz de Jesus Gallery

HE'S BACK! BRAD "TIKI SHARK" PARKER RETURNS TO  HOLLYWOOD AT LA LUZ DE JESUS GALLERY -- Listen up, kids! The Tiki Shark is comin' back to Tinseltown for a two-man show and there's gonna be surf music (provided by The Insect Surfers -- yeh!) and rum drinks (yum!) courtesy of Sammy's Beach Bar Rum....plus an exhibit of rad BMX art by Damian Fulton. So, what more could you ask for on the 4th of July in Hollywood?? Honolulu-based artist Brad "Tiki Shark" Parker is nothing short of a phenomenon for his "low-brow art" on modern Tiki culture which he does from the most remote land mass in the world: the Big Island of Hawaii. Says Parker, "When you live on an active volcano, you learn to make sacrifices." Whew! And he doesn't mean those ancient ceremonial practices, but rather his move from the fast lane life of Hollywood to the much slower one of the small seaside town of Kailua-Kona. In doing so -- and honing his craft and artform -- Parker has become the king of Polynesian Pop Art that brings the beloved world of Tiki culture to a global audience, including the surf world where he's partnered with the renowned manufacturer Body Glove -- not to mention all of his sold-out exhibitions in Los Angeles, Dubai, Honolulu and other metro destinations. The Hollywood show will feature Parker's skate decks, beach towels, pencil sketches and paintings -- and the July 4th opening will have a barbecue in addition to the live surf music while Parker signs cards calendars and prints. Woo hoo, dude!!
